Key Selection Points

  • PE-RT is processed as a thermoplastic, while PEX-a, PEX-b and PEX-c use different crosslinking routes; the approved compound and process must be confirmed before line selection.
  • PEX-b may require a controlled post-crosslinking stage, and oxygen-barrier pipe requires a project-specific multilayer co-extrusion and adhesive system.
  • Pipe standard, pressure class, OD, wall thickness, dimensional tolerance, coil size and verification method should be defined with the finished heating-system requirement.
